1. Choose your album tracks
Tips:
Download and import the tracks into your computer’s media player software, such as Windows Media Player (Legacy), Apple Music/iTunes or any other third-party media player application that can burn CDs.
Once imported into your media player’s library, create a new playlist and drag and drop the tracks from your library to the newly created playlist. This will allow you to curate your album and arrange the tracks as you wish. You can remove tracks by deleting them from the playlist and order tracks by dragging them up or down.
A common album length is between 30 and 60 minutes. Please keep your album length under 80 minutes for CD compatibility.
Your track order is crucial for artistic intent and pacing as it determines the flow, narrative and emotional arc of the album. Before burning your CD, consider the following:
Does my album…
flow well from one track to the next?
tell a story or take me on a musical journey?
feel too long, too short or just about the right length?
